were at Adelaide

Dad and I had a great couple of days at Meningie , with Mark and Tania Miller at the Lake Albert Caravan park which they run, now were at Adelaide and saw some of our relies. But we've canned the trip to Alice springs due to some problems with the van.. so going home via Peterborough then Broken Hill and then home should be back by mid next week..
The weather has been up and down like a yo yo,some wet days and some cold days and some warm days.. were leaving Adelaide tommorrow..

I have been at UUUFM/Shoalhaven FM Community radio for the last five years, doing my radio show on friday nights from 6-8 but now the show has moved to Tuesday nights from 7pm , still playing great music and requests.. mostly pop rock from the 70's to today..

We had a great cruise!!

On the 1st of June Dad and I went on the P&O Pacific Jewel Fijian
cruise, it was an amazing experiance. I am in the process of writting up my diary of the trip and getting the pictures and videos up online to put on this site, stay tuned and feel free to explore my site!!

9 Years Today!!!

G'day

Well, its 9 years today that  I moved into my very own house...
Thanks to mum and dad for helping me buy the house and move in...


Also this week I went to hospital and had all my top teath out
Not much fun, still quite sore and have my new plate in. Its going to take a while
to get used to it . I just hope I'm going to be ok for this cruise in june...

Its my birhtday and I'll cry if I want to !!! (wasnt that a song in the 50s?)

Well 41 years ago today I was born....
Just a quiet day today , and not much else , its been raining
here all weekend and still raining.
only a couple months now till Dad and I go on our cruise.
We would have been in the UK now if we had gone but thats that..


this is my birthday jam, just me playing guitar , a short instrumental..
hope you enjoy..

Its also been six months now since my boy passed away, The house just doesnt seem the same, its so different coming home with out Ben being there, waiting for me to let him in..  I miss him so much.............

Dad is back home

just a quick update,
Dad is back home from a week in hospital, after getting more
fluid drained from his lungs..
Thanks to the staff at the Shoalhaven District Hospital for looking after him..

For those that didn't know,
My father Alan Ramsay , has gone back into hospital for more
Work trying to clear up a chest
Infection that he has had since
the end of last year!!
There is talk of Dad maybe going to Sydney , I just hope they can clear it up this time!!.

The Love Boat !! ( Well, not exactly !)

My Fathe and I were going to go to England again this year...
But with dads health and the weather being crap over there we decided to go on a cruise instead..

We will be going on the P&O Paciffic Jewel, on the 1st June to the beautiful islands of Fiji, stopping at ports in Vanuatu and New Caledonia along the way..... So we are both really looking forward to it...

so we just hope to be both well enough for the trip ..

Merry Christmas

G'day viewers'
Thought I'd wish every one a merry Christmas and A happy new year!
This Christmas makes the first one with out my beautiful dog Ben , the border collie, and my budgie Dexter....
But I guess life goes on and we must move forward as hard as it is...

For those that didn't know, my father Alan , went to hospital a couple of weeks ago for pneumonia . He had to have fluid drained from his lungs and that was tough going for both of us, he is back home now which is great!!

I spend alot of time with my dad, now that it's just us here and he's 87 now. It's alot of work looking after dad but I love him!!!

Next year in march we are planning to travel to Europe so will have heaps of updates and videos too!!! So please keep checking up on my site.
There's always something happening!!!

What a day

G'day ,
Well , its been 4 years ago today since my mother past away, I can still remember holding her hand and waiting, till she took her  last breath.. I'll always miss you mum..


on a happy note Annette and Greng gave me a new budgie today,
his name is Buddy, after Buddy Holly. He's a baby boy so hopefully he'll last
as long as Dexter did!!

RIP Dexter the budgie 30/10/2010

Dexter the budgie passed away over night,  I got him when I  first moved out of home in the early 90's, he was having trouble walking around and getting up on his perch.. poor guy.

He loved listening to the radio and chatting away to it. 

Thanks Dexter for being my friend over these years ... I'll miss you..

A week already????

Hi, well, its been a week this time last friday and around this time about 1.20pm ish that Ben Ramsay passed away, I cant believe it, already a week???

Its been a long one at that, lots of emotions , and a broken heart ..

I hope one day another 4 legged friend can help heal it, but I cant do anything untill Dad and I come backfrom our Uk trip in Feb..

I still find myself talking to him, and kind of looking around to make sure im not going to walk on him...or step on him accidentaly  .. he let me know if I did that,

He was great dog, never once snapped or tried to bit me,he never scared me , except when i knew he was sick...

Ben loved the car drives 

He loved going in the car for drives and walks, and he absolotley loved the park down the road, now Bens park.

He would love sitting on his lounge and watch tv with me, or eat some of my dinner ,

He would sit next to me if i was in the office, or on the floor by the door , and at night he'd sleep on his pillow,right by my bed , every night.... I used to love patting him , hugging him and listen to him snore.

Every night since i got him, when he had trouble sleeping, or there was a thunderstorm...
 Id sit next to him and sing to him, just nice soft voice, his eye lids would close and he'd be fast asleep snoring his head off..then usually at 3 or 4 am he'd come and  wake me up in my room to be let out, and he'd always come back..

Today is Ben Ramsays funeral day,
I thouhgt I'd never see this happen, at least not for another couple of years..

I miss you so much my best friend.. friends unitll the end, I hugged you and cuddled you right
to the last minute of your life.. I will always remember you , always my gardian angel

My best friend Ben Ramsay, passed away.

the Vet came to Bens house and was very very good to him, no pain, no noise..

Ben Ramsay just went to sleep on his favorite lounge.. next to me, where I sit every night

He was the greatest, the best dog, best friend I ever had, he was more than a dog,

he was almost human, in fact he was more human than most of us !!

I love you Ben Ramsay, my guardian angel, how am I to live with out you???
